Industrial Disc Brake
The DBF 145 is a spring applied, hydraulically released, industrial fixed caliper disc brake.
Advantages of this industrial brake include its fast response time and its adjustable air-gap, which allows you to fine-tune your braking process by providing adjustable torque output.
When compared to a comparable floating caliper brake, fixed caliper brakes like the DBF are ideal for applications with minimal space constraints. In situations where lateral space is limited, consider a comparable floating caliper model, like the DBF S product line.
Traditionally, the DBF is commonly used on large hoists and cranes in ports, steel mills, and mining applications, but it is highly versatile and can be used as a safety or emergency brake in a wide range of demanding applications.
