The CB8-M is a spring applied, electromagnetic solenoid released, heavy duty industrial compact disc brake.
A primary advantage of this industrial brake is its compact design, which makes it ideal for use in situations where space is limited and relatively high torque output is required. This electromagnetic brake is often used as a service or stopping brake in travel drives of mining and other heavy material handling equipment, as well as in a wide range of applications in general industrial machinery.
